[00:42.14]The sound that you're listenin' to
[00:45.75]Is from my guitar that's named Lucille
[00:52.22]I'm very crazy about Lucille
[00:54.68]Lucille took me from the plantation
[00:59.67]Or you might say brought me fame
[01:08.79]I don't think I can just talk enough about Lucille
[01:13.70]Sometimes when I'm blue it's seems like Lucille
[01:15.68]Tryin' to help me callin' my name
[01:20.28]I used to sing spirituals and I thought that
[01:22.29]This was the thing I wanted to do
[01:31.77]But somehow or another when I went in the Army
[01:36.99]I picked up on Lucille started singin' blues
[01:46.46]Well now when I'm payin' my dues
[01:53.09]Maybe you don't know what I mean when I say payin' my dues
[01:55.29]I mean when things are bad with me
[01:58.95]I can always I can always you you know like depend on Lucille
[02:13.86]Sorta hard to talk to you myself
[02:15.93]I guess I'll let Lucille say
[02:17.12]All of a few words and then
[02:32.18]You know I doubt if you can feel it like I do
[02:37.70]But when I think about the things that I've gone through
[02:40.83]Like well for instance if I have a girlfriend and she's misusin' me
[02:49.83]And I go home at night maybe I'm lonely
[02:54.33]Well not maybe I am lonely
[02:58.53]I pick up Lucille and then ping out those funny sounds
[03:04.83]That sound good to me you know
[03:10.83]Sometimes I get to play it where I can't even say nothin'
[03:16.74]Look out
[03:25.50]Sometimes I think it is cryin'
[04:04.88]You know if I can sing pop tunes like
[04:08.06]Frank Sinatra or Sammy Davis Jr
[04:13.28]I don't think I still could do it
[04:18.42]'Cause Lucille don't wanna play nothin' but the blues
[04:22.88]And I think I'm I think I'm pretty glad about that
[04:28.70]'Cause don't nobody sing to me like Lucille sing Lucille
[04:53.12]Well I'll put it like this take it easy Lucille
[04:58.86]I like the way Sammy sings and I like the way Frank sings
[05:02.91]But I can get a little Frank Sammy little Ray Charles
[05:06.20]In fact all the people with soul in this
[05:24.24]A little Mahalia Jackson in there
[05:45.66]One more Lucille take it easy now
[06:22.88]You know I've met a lot of you months ago
[06:25.92]A lot of you wanna know why I call the guitar Lucille
[06:31.56]Lucille has practically saved my life two three times
[06:36.93]No kidding really has
[06:40.01]I remember once I was in an automobile accident
[06:45.12]And when the car stopped turnin' over it fell over on Lucille
[06:51.00]And it held it up off of me really it held it up off of me
[06:58.25]So that's one time it saved my life
[07:01.62]The way the way I uh I came by the name of Lucille
[07:07.23]I was over in Twist Arkansas I know you never heard of that
[07:10.19]But happened and one night the guys started a ball over there
[07:18.26]You know started brawlin' you know what I mean
[07:23.63]And the guy that was mad with this old lady
[07:29.33]When she fell over on this gas tank that was burnin' for heat
[07:34.29]The gas ran all over the floor and when the gas ran all over the floor
[07:47.43]The building caught on fire and almost burned me up
[07:51.95]Tryin' to save Lucille
[07:54.60]Uh oh I I imagine you're still wondering why I call it Lucille
[07:58.86]The lady that started the brawl that night was named Lucille
[08:11.63]And that's been Lucille ever since to me
[08:16.50]One more now Lucille
[08:45.12]Sounds pretty good to me can I do one more
[09:11.49]Look out Lucille
[09:24.24]Sounds really good I think I'll try one more alright
